Becontree Club had 17 Participants in this years National Competition and everybody did excellent and the club obtained 4 Silver and 5 Bronze Medals.

Blackpool 2003
9 Senior Students went up to Blackpool to compete in the United Nations Ju-Jitsu Competition we were representing Jikishin and Becontree Club.
Everybody had a excellent time and fought their hearts out, We achieved 2 Gold , 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medals.

Wow what a Competition for Becontree Club, We won so many medals i lost count, All the students did excellent and so many of you were knocked out in the final rounds by your own team mates.

Becontree club went to the nationals with a team of 24 students ( adults & Juniors ), Over 500 people were competing a tough time was expected by all.
But our club truimphed and blew all the other clubs out of the water and gained 19 medals.
In Junior Demo category we won Gold, Silver & Bronze.
Each Student who took part, did there very best and should be proud of their achievement as i am proud of them.

 | Becontree Competition 2 Sunday 25th May had finally arrived , Becontree`s 2nd Competition. Myself and Sensei Lorraine waited to see if we had to make any last minute changes because students could not attend, But we were very happy to see that all 40 Competitors turned up ready to go.First came Random Attacks on all three categories all up to the quarter finals.Then the Demonstrations and Kata calmed everybody down, Before the onslaught of the ground fighting.Brother versus Sister , Big versus Little, No prisoners were taken as they fought through various rounds to reach the final . The whole day for the junior students was a long 4 hours, But everybody seemed to enjoy the Competition with Parents and friends on their feet cheering on students during the wrestling.If you won or lost you made the day special by taking part and doing your best.A special thankyou to Lorraine , Nikkie , Rob , Sean , Simon , Siobhan for their help. The Competition was much awaited for, especially the Pee Wee sections who had never competed before, but the day was Superb with some excellent examples of Jujitsu & self defence, With 56 Competitors the 4 hours of Competition flew by.

2008 Finally the day arrived , after loads of practicing - 45 students entered into the club competition.
The standard was excellent with some the best fights seen in a while, Also a big well done to the little tigers club who at 4 years old showed some good fighting skills.
